Cops (1922) staring Buster Keaton: Through a series of mistaken identities , Keaton winds up with a load of furniture in the middle of parade of policemen. An anarchist’s bomb lands in his carriage, Keaton lights his cigarette with it, and tosses it into the ranks of police. When it explodes the police chase him all over town.
Wings (1927) The first film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture and the only silent film ever to win Best Picture. Jack Powell (Charles “Buddy” Rogers) and David Armstrong (Richard Arlen) are rivals in the same small american town, both vying for the attention of pretty Sylvia Lewis (Jobyna Ralston). Jack fails to realize “the girl next door”, Mary Preston (Clara Bow) is desperately in love with him. The two young men enlist to become combat pilots in the Air Service. The men go from being enemies to best friends, shipping off to France to fight the Germans and Mary joins the war becoming an ambulance driver.
