Monster Ball: For Kids of All ages! Under the looming stained glass windows in the gothic Grand Ballroom of Holyoke City Hall, the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra will be performing classic waltzes with interludes of the symphonic renditions of popular video games like Angry Birds, Pokemon and Final Fantasy – and will be accompanied by members of the Holyoke High School Choir. There will be seasonal treats, a costume contest, a raffle and prizes all surrounded by acts of monstrous dancing. 4pm -6pm, FREE.
Canal Creature Crawl: After the Ball at City Hall, the Monster’s will be released to haunt Heritage State Park for the 3rd annual Creature Crawl. At dusk, fall foliage will be ceremoniously dropped into the water initiating a petrifying parade along the Canal Walk. The parade route will feature music and performers as well as food, games and art activities; concluding with enchanted rides on the historic merry-go-round. 6pm-8pm, FREE.
After(life) Ball: A costume party for the big kids (21+) with cash bar courtesy of Brennan’s Place. Costume contest with creepy prizes. Music by DJ SHPANK, featuring dance in a trance with a night of upbeat dance music peppered with Halloween themed terror tunes in a variety of genres. Holyoke City Hall Ball Room. 8pm – Midnight. $20 at the door. A wicked event to Save the Stained Glass Windows!
